Baseball Game Preview: Huntington Blue Devils vs. Copiague Eagles

For the second straight game, Huntington will face off against Copiague. The Blue Devils will look to defend their home field on Tuesday against the Eagles at 12:00 p.m.

Huntington had taken Copiague down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Monday. The Blue Devils fell 4-1 to the Eagles. The loss put an end to the Blue Devils' undefeated start to the season.

For Copiague's part, Aidan Roman made a splash no matter where he played. He tossed two innings while giving up no earned runs or hits. Roman was also big at the plate, scoring a run and stealing three bases while going 2-for-3.

Roman wasn't the only one making solid contact as three players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Justice Santiago, who scored a run and stole two bases while going 1-for-2. Adrian Cruz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Having lost for the first time this season, Huntington fell to 2-1. As for Copiague, their victory was their first in the league, bumping their league record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 2-3.
