Baseball Recap: Mountain Valley Comes Up Short

While it was Mountain Valley who put the first runs on the board on Friday, it was Dirigo who put up more. The Falcons fell just short of the Cougars by a score of 5-4. The Falcons were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Cougars apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in May of 2024.

This is the second loss in a row for Mountain Valley and nudges their season record down to 6-8. As for Dirigo, the win got them back to even at 7-7.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Mountain Valley is set to challenge their familiar foe Winthrop at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. Meanwhile, Dirigo will take on rival Maranacook at 4:00 p.m. on Monday.
