It can be hard to translate regular season success to the playoffs, but Hobart had no problem doing just that on Friday. They blew past the Kankakee Valley Kougars, posting a 43-6 win. The result was nothing new for the Brickies, who have now won six games by 31 points or more so far this season.

It was another big night for Max Pickett, who rushed for 240 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 10.4 yards per carry. That's the most rushing touchdowns he has posted since back in September. The team also got some help courtesy of Aiden Kasch, who gained 77 total yards and two touchdowns.

The victory (which was Hobart's fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 47.6 points over those games. As for Kankakee Valley, they dropped their record down to 2-9 with the loss, which was their sixth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Hobart will host Lowell at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Kankakee Valley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
