There's no place like home for Academy for Innovative Education, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Wednesday. They put the hurt on the Chaminade-Madonna Lions with a sharp 11-1 win on Friday. The Aviators might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won four contests by ten runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Emily Gonzalez, who scored three runs while going 2-for-4. The team also got some help courtesy of Selenia Martinez, who scored a run while going 2-for-3.

Academy for Innovative Education's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Chaminade-Madonna, the loss snapped their winning streak at three games and leaves them with a 6-8 record.

Coming up, Academy for Innovative Education will host Mater Academy Charter at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Lions have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 17.38 runs per game on average), something the Aviators will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Chaminade-Madonna, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 24-11 defeat against Calvary Christian Academy on the 7th.
