McDowell is 8-1 against Harbor Creek since May of 2017 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Trojans will host the Huskies at 4:30 p.m. McDowell will be looking to extend their current five-game winning streak.

On Wednesday, McDowell needed a bit of extra time to put away Cathedral Prep. They won by a run and slipped past the Ramblers 8-7.

McDowell's victory was truly a team effort as seven different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Joseph Stephan, who went 3-for-4 with one run and one RBI. Colton Orlando was another, going 3-for-5 with three runs.

McDowell was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .382. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their batting average total in five consecutive games.

Meanwhile, Harbor Creek beat Erie 5-1 on Wednesday. The win continues a trend for the Huskies in their matchups with the Royals: they've now won nine in a row.

Harbor Creek's victory bumped their record up to 6-3. As for McDowell, their win bumped their record up to 6-4.

McDowell skirted past Harbor Creek 2-0 when the teams last played back in May of 2025. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Huskies turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
