League recap: Eisenhower tops Cambridge Springs to extend winning streak

Eisenhower extended the longest winning streak in District 10 Region 2 A this week by beating Cambridge Springs, 48-13. The victory was the fifth in a row for the Knights.

Cochranton made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 9,254 from 9,593. The improvement came about via a 43-6 victory over Iroquois last week.

Eisenhower's dynamic duo of Aaron Lundmark and Nathan O'Brien proved tough for the Devils to stop, as they were the top passer and receiver in the league this week. Lundmark threw for 182 yards and four touchdowns and O'Brien had 71 yards receiving. Rob Wilston helped Eisenhower's passing attack out by catching two balls for 43 yards.

Cornelius Barclay was the most productive running back in the league this week. In 18 carries, he ran for 153 yards as Mercyhurst Prep bested Cambridge Springs. Thomas Higgins also contributed to the rushing game with 89 yards on the ground.

Domenic Grace made the biggest impact on defense this week as the Lakers defeated Maplewood. The 5-foot-11 senior recorded one fumble.

6-foot-1 quarterback Chad Eisenhooth of the Cardinals is the league leader in passing yards this season with 733. He has also thrown eight touchdowns. On the ground, Mercyhurst Prep's Barclay has rushed for 1034 yards which leads the league. The leading receiver in the league this season is O'Brien. The Eisenhower star has 16 catches for 410 yards.

The Knights' John Pascuzzi is a mere 28 yards away from breaking the 1,000-rushing-yards mark for the season. In 124 carries Pascuzzi has accumulated 972 yard this year.
