Basketball Recap: Wakulla Comes Up Short

After soaring to 69 points the game before, Wakulla was a bit more limited in their contest on Friday. They were dealt a 64-29 defeat at the hands of the Nature Coast Tech Sharks. The War Eagles were down 51-23 at the end of the third quarter, and things only got worse from there.

When it comes to explaining why Wakulla lost, don't look at Bradley Vaughn. Despite the final result, he almost dropped a double-double on nine points and 12 boards. Vaughn is crushing it when it comes to boards: he's pulled down at least nine every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Auvion Thomas, who posted six points.

Wakulla has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-6 record this season. As for Nature Coast Tech, they now have a winning record of 5-4.

Wakulla wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 74-53 loss against Anclote on the 21st. As for Nature Coast Tech, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 63-45 victory against Middleton on the 26th.
