Soccer Game Preview: Neuse Christian Academy vs. St. Thomas More Academy

The Neuse Christian Academy Lions will take on the St. Thomas More Academy Chancellors at 5:30 p.m. on Friday. Neuse Christian Academy's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for eight straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Neuse Christian Academy fell victim to Thales Academy Apex and their airtight defense two weeks ago. They came up short against the Titans, falling 8-0. Their defense stepped up to hand American Leadership Academy-Johnston a 9-0 shutout on Wednesday. Maire Kelly was a massive factor in the win as she booted in three goals all by herself.

St. Thomas More Academy has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matches. That's provided a nice bump to their 7-5-1 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 18 goals over those four contests. As for Neuse Christian Academy, their loss dropped their record down to 0-8.
