Baseball Recap: Keyser Comes Up Short

Keyser lost to Spring Mills back in April of 2025 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Golden Tornado lost 11-4 to the Cardinals. The Golden Tornado have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Owen Rotruck was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with two runs and one RBI.

Keyser's loss dropped their record down to 9-14. As for Spring Mills, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 12-10.

Looking ahead, Keyser will venture away from home to take on Petersburg at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Spring Mills, they will welcome Martinsburg at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Bulldogs' pitching crew has only allowed 3.5 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
