Softball Recap: Eastside's Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

It was a good run, but Eastside unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Tuesday. They took an 8-3 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Quartz Hill Royals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Lions of the 12-2 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Eastside saw six different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Hermoine Jimenez, who went 1-for-2 with one triple and one RBI. That triple was Jimenez's first of the season.

Eastside's loss dropped their record down to 9-5-1. As for Quartz Hill, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-4.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Eastside will challenge rival Antelope Valley at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Quartz Hill is set to take on their familiar foe Lancaster at 3:15 p.m. on Thursday.
