Basketball Recap: Halls Comes Up Short

Halls was the 62-55 winner over Karns when they last played one another back in February of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Halls Red Devils were outmatched by the Karns Beavers and fell 61-33. The Red Devils were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 35-15.

Halls dropped their record down to 2-14 with the defeat, which was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Karns, their win was their first in the district, bumping their district record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 6-7.

Halls and Karns could both be facing uphill battles in their next games considering their disadvantage in the MaxPreps Tennessee Rankings. Halls (ranked 308th) will meet Powell (ranked 75th) at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Similarly, Karns will face off against Campbell County at 6:00 p.m. on Friday down 104 places (132 vs. 28).
