Victory Charter had won eight straight games and Gabriel Gomez did his part to make it nine on Friday. The Victory Charter Vipers came out on top against the Compass Charter Aviators by a score of 53-41 thanks in part to Gomez, who dropped a double-double with 20 points and 12 boards. Those 12 rebounds gave him a new career-high.

Cody Luce was another key player, putting up nine points in addition to seven assists and six boards. He is also on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in each of the last three games he's played.

Victory Charter pushed their record up to 14-8 with the win, which was their seventh straight at home. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 57.3 points over those games. As for Compass Charter, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
