Basketball Game Preview: Hubbard Jaguars vs. Italy Gladiators

The Hubbard Jaguars will square off against the Italy Gladiators at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday. Hubbard is coming into the game on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Hubbard came up short against Wortham and fell 38-28.

Meanwhile, Italy wrapped up 2024 with a 40-22 win over Axtell. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Gladiators.

Italy pushed their record up to 12-6 with the victory, which was their sixth straight at home. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 26.2 points per game. As for Hubbard, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-7.

Hubbard and Italy were neck-and-neck in their previous meeting back in November of 2021, but Hubbard came up empty-handed after a 38-37 loss. Can Hubbard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
