Basketball Recap: Cocoa Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Cocoa lost against Oak Ridge back in January of 2024 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Tigers had to suffer through an 83-5 loss at the hands of the Pioneers. The Tigers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 55-4.

Oak Ridge got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was Genneve Carrion out in front who went 8-for-10 to rack up 19 points and five steals. Another player making a difference was Sarah Jean, who made all 6 shots she took for 12 points and six steals.

Cocoa's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Cocoa will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Rockledge at 7:00 p.m. on December 2. As for Oak Ridge, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 50-41 win against Spruce Creek on the 21st.
