Softball Game Preview: Treasure Coast Titans vs. Central Cobras

Treasure Coast is 9-1 against Central since March of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Tuesday. The Treasure Coast Titans will square off against the Central Cobras at 4:00 p.m. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses for Treasure Coast and eight for Central dating back to last season.

Last Friday, Treasure Coast came up short against Jupiter and fell 8-3.

Callie Smith spent all seven innings on the mound, and it's clear why: she surrendered five earned (and three unearned) runs on seven hits and racked up seven Ks. She has been consistent recently: she hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in four consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Treasure Coast saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Emma Outlaw, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Meanwhile, Central scored the most runs they've had this season on Thursday, but it wasn't enough. They lost 13-5 to Centennial.

Treasure Coast's defeat dropped their record down to 2-5. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-5.

Everything went Treasure Coast's way against Central in their previous matchup last Wednesday, as Treasure Coast made off with a 15-0 victory. The rematch might be a little tougher for Treasure Coast since the team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
