There's no place like home for Manvel, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Friday. They put the hurt on the South Houston Trojans with a sharp 14-0 win on Tuesday. The Mavericks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matches by seven runs or more this season.

The team relied heavily on Carley Williams, who went a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Karsyn Carrier was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with three RBI and one triple.

Manvel is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-9 record this season. As for South Houston, they dropped their record down to 0-17 with the defeat, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
