Softball Recap: Leesburg Takes a Loss

Leesburg was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 9-5 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Windermere Prep Lakers.

Cassidy Custer was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Addison Hunter, who scored a run and stole a base while getting on base in two of her three plate appearances.

Leesburg's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for Windermere Prep, the win was the seventh in a row for them, bringing their record up to 13-3.

Coming up, Leesburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Tavares at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Windermere Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Celebration at 6:30 p.m. on Friday.
