Soccer Game Preview: Christopher vs. Silver Creek

The Christopher Cougars will head out to challenge the Silver Creek Raiders at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.

Things were looking good for Christopher after they put the first points on the board on Tuesday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell 3-1 to Evergreen Valley.

Christopher's goal came courtesy of Alyssa Montejano, who's now up to five this season.

Meanwhile, after low-scoring totals in their previous four contests, Silver Creek brought some dynamite into their most recent match. They were the clear victor by a 12-1 margin over Live Oak on Tuesday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 7-1.

Silver Creek now has a winning record of 7-6-2. As for Christopher, their defeat was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1-2 and their overall record down to 10-4-3.

Christopher beat Silver Creek 2-0 in their previous meeting back in January. The rematch might be a little tougher for Christopher since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
