Basketball Recap: Payton Howse's Big Game Can't Quite Lead Clark over Canyon Springs + How To Watch

If Clark was riding high fresh off their 45-25 takedown of Southeast Career Tech on Thursday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chargers took a 42-29 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Canyon Springs Pioneers on Friday. The Chargers lost against the Pioneers in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much closer than the 60-22 score last time.

Clark's defeat came despite a true team effort with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Payton Howse, who posted nine points.

Clark now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Canyon Springs, their win bumped their record up to 2-4.

Clark has already played their next contest, a 43-34 victory against Rancho on the 8th. As for Canyon Springs, they will be defending their home court for the first time this season when they go up against Desert Pines at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
