Recap: Kerens Bobcats vs. Italy Gladiators
On Friday, the Kerens Bobcats's game was all tied up 14-14 at the half, but luckily for them it didn't stay that way. They skirted past Italy 23-20. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Kerens.
Kerens' victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Muziq Gunnell, who picked up 92 receiving yards and a touchdown, and also punched in a rushing score. Kerens also got help from Mykel Lattimore who showed off his sure hands for 91 receiving yards.
Kerens now has a winning record of 6-5. As for Italy, their defeat dropped their record down to an identical 6-5.
Kerens will head out on the road to face off against Cross Roads at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Cross Roads is coming into the matchup on a four-game losing streak. Italy will have plenty of time to ponder what went wrong as they've got a bye scheduled next week. After, they'll take on Crawford at 7:00 p.m. on November 9th.
