Softball Recap: Lancaster Beats Bloom-Carroll for Their Eighth Straight Win

Lancaster proved they can win big on Monday (they won by 15) and on Tuesday they proved they can win the close ones too. They came out on top in a nail-biter against the Bloom-Carroll Bulldogs, sneaking past 7-6. Winning may never get old, but the Golden Gales sure are getting used to it with their eighth in a row.

Lancaster let Kendall Brown 2026 MU and Alieya Garner 2027 run wild. Brown 2026 MU fired off two home runs and one double while going 3-for-3, while Garner 2027 fired off two home runs and three RBI while going 2-for-3. What's more, Garner 2027 posted two runs, the most she's had since back in April. Another player making a difference was Hannah Smith 2026, who went 2-for-3 with one home run and two runs.

Lancaster was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .385. That was just more of the same: they've now posted a batting average of .310 or higher in 11 consecutive matchups.

Lancaster's win bumped their record up to 13-7. As for Bloom-Carroll, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lancaster will welcome Logan at 5:15 p.m. on Wednesday. The Golden Gales' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Chieftains have averaged an impressive 9.8 runs per game this season. As for Bloom-Carroll, they will be playing at home against John Glenn at 5:15 p.m. on Friday.
