Soccer Recap: Coronado Takes a Loss

If Coronado was riding high fresh off their 3-0 takedown of Lubbock last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Coronado Mustangs fell just short of the Tascosa Rebels by a score of 1-0 on Friday. The Mustangs were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Rebels apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

Coronado's loss dropped their record down to 7-3-1. As for Tascosa, they now have a winning record of 5-4-2.

Looking ahead, Coronado will challenge Monterey at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Monterey is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 2.8 goals per game this season. As for Tascosa, they will take on Plainview at 5:00 p.m. on Monday.
