Volleyball Game Preview: Marina Vikings vs. Huntington Beach Oilers

Marina is 0-6 against Huntington Beach since March of 2021 but things could change on Tuesday. The Vikings will head out on the road to challenge the Oilers at 5:45 p.m.

Marina lost 3-0 to Edison on Friday. The Vikings have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Marina was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The match finished with set scores of 25-23, 25-20, 25-14.

Meanwhile, Huntington Beach faced St. John Bosco in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. The Oilers blew past the Braves 3-0.

Marina's defeat dropped their record down to 11-14. As for Huntington Beach, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won 12 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 27-3 record this season.

Marina might still be hurting after the 3-0 loss they got from Huntington Beach in their previous matchup back in March. Can the Vikings avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
