Dorchester Academy had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They walked away with a 61-50 victory over the Branchville Yellow Jackets. For the Raiders, this counts as revenge for the 59-50 win the Yellow Jackets walked away with the last time they faced one another back in December of 2022.

When it comes to explaining why Branchville lost, don't look at Javon Williams. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds. Another player making a difference was Marcus Felder, who went 5 of 12 on his way to 12 points.

Dorchester Academy's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-8. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 72.3 points per game. As for Branchville, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-9 record this season.

Dorchester Academy will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Cathedral Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 28th.
