Football Recap: Binghamton Comes Up Short

Binghamton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 13th straight loss dating back to last season. They were beaten by the Horseheads Blue Raiders 60-14. The Patriots lost against the Blue Raiders in their previous head to head back in November of 2024, too, but the margin this time around was even wider than the 2-0 score last time.

Binghamton's defeat dropped their record down to 0-8. As for Horseheads, the win snapped their losing streak at three games and leaves them with a 5-3 record.

Coming up, Binghamton will be playing in front of their home fans against Elmira/Southside at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Patriots will need to watch out since the Express have now posted at least 31 points in their last three contests. As for Horseheads, they are taking a road trip to take on Owego Free Academy at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. The River Hawks' defense has only allowed 7.9 points per game this season, so the Blue Raiders' offense will have their work cut out for them.
