Basketball Recap: Payne Tech Comes Up Short

After flying high against Newark Tech last Saturday, Payne Tech came back down to earth. The Payne Tech Lions took a 52-34 bruising from the Caldwell Chiefs on Tuesday. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Payne Tech's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Caldwell, the victory was the fifth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-2.

Payne Tech will face off against Nutley at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Caldwell, they will head out to take on Newark Central at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
