Basketball Recap: Corsicana Takes a Loss

It was a proper cat-fight when Corsicana faced off against Palestine on Saturday. The Corsicana Tigers fell just short of the Palestine Wildcats by a score of 60-58. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tigers of the 38-31 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in December of 2023.

Palestine found their leader in sophomore Bj Walker, who dropped a double-double on 23 points and 11 boards. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Walker has scored all season. London Brown was another key player, going 5 for 12 on his way to 13 points in addition to five rebounds and four steals.

Corsicana now has a losing record at 5-6. As for Palestine, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Corsicana has already played their next match, a 60-55 loss against Waco on the 13th. As for Palestine, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next game, a 74-64 defeat against LaPoynor on the 10th.
