Volleyball Recap: Royall Extends Winning Streak to Three

Royall waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Brookwood Falcons by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

While Royall might've won, it sure wasn't easy: Brookwood scored at least 21 points in every set they played. The match finished with set scores of 25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23.

Bria Gruen paced Royall's offense, picking up 24 kills. Gruen got some help from Elizabeth Klipstein and her 40 assists. Klipstein was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Royall's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Brookwood, the defeat snapped their winning streak at three matches and leaves them with a 17-8 record.

Royall has already played their next match, a 3-0 win against Bangor on the 7th. As for Brookwood, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 3-1 victory against Wonewoc-Center on the 7th.
