Volleyball Recap: Royall's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Three

Royall waltzed into their contest on Thursday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came out on top against the Brookwood Falcons by a score of 3-1. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 3-2 two weeks ago.

The win didn't come easy: Brookwood scored at least 21 points in every set. The final score came out to 25-21, 25-22, 19-25, 25-23.

Bria Gruen paced Royall's offense, picking up 24 kills. Gruen got some help from Elizabeth Klipstein and her 40 assists. Klipstein was also solid from the service line: she led the team with three aces.

Royall's victory bumped their record up to 17-7. As for Brookwood, with the defeat, they broke their three-match winning streak and moved their record to 17-8.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Royall is set to square off against their familiar foe Bangor at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Brookwood will challenge rival Wonewoc-Center at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
