Volleyball Recap: Harrison Starts off Right with Win over Dekalb

Harrison took care of business in their home opener on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the DeKalb Barons.

Not only was the match a shutout, it was a big one: Harrison took both sets by at least 15 points. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-10, 25-10.

Cole Hess paced Harrison's offense, picking up 12 kills. Hess got some help from Ian McKinney and his 13 assists. McKinney and Hess didn't slow down when it came to serving: they led the team with three apiece.

DeKalb dropped their record down to 0-3 with the defeat, which was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Harrison wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 2-0 win against Irvington Preparatory Academy on the 5th. As for DeKalb, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 2-0 loss against North Putnam on the 5th.
