Windsor Forest had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They came out on top against the Brantley County Herons by a score of 20-8 on Friday. The win was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their six-game losing streak dating back to last season.

Windsor Forest can attribute much of their success to Anthony Williams, who rushed for 59 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 135 yards and a touchdown. 85 of those passing yards were hauled in by Jaysen Jackson, who also brought in a receiving touchdown.

On the other side of the ball, a lot of the credit has to go to Windsor Forest's defense and their four sacks. The heavy lifting was done by Izaiyah Cooper and Jeremiah Williamson who racked up all four sacks between them.

Brantley County's loss dropped their record down to 0-2.

Windsor Forest will look to take advantage of their home-field for the first time this season as they take on Liberty County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Windsor Forest is out to stop a three-game streak of losses at home dating back to last season. As for Brantley County, they are taking a road trip to challenge Pierce County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
