Football Game Preview: Mooresville Pioneers vs. Whiteland Warriors

The Mooresville Pioneers will face off against the Whiteland Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.

On Friday, Mooresville came up short against Franklin Community and fell 28-17. The Pioneers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Connor Cruz, who rushed for 49 yards and one touchdown, and also threw for 188 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Whiteland had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 14.5 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Friday. They really took it to the Artesians for the full four quarters, racking up a 41-13 win. The contest marked the Warriors' most dominant victory of the season.

Mooresville's loss dropped their record down to 3-3. As for Whiteland, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Mooresville came out on top in a nail-biter against Whiteland when the teams last played back in October of 2024, sneaking past 24-21. Do the Pioneers have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Warriors turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
