Soccer Recap: Lower Richland Comes Up Short

Lower Richland was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They lost 5-1 to the Wilson Tigers. If Lower Richland were looking for revenge after losing 12-0 to Wilson when the teams met back in March of 2020, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Lower Richland's defeat dropped their record down to 0-7. As for Wilson, the win got them back to even at 4-4.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lower Richland will host Darlington at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Lower Richland will be up against Darlington's rather soft defense (which has allowed 4.91 goals per game), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for Wilson, they will take on Lakewood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Wilson's defense better be ready for this one: Lakewood have averaged an impressive 3.2 goals per game this season.
