Basketball Recap: Pompano Beach Comes Up Short

Pompano Beach was not able to break out of their rough patch on Wednesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They fell 55-43 to the Piper Bengals. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Golden Tornadoes of the 58-48 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in January.

Pompano Beach's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Piper, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four contests, which provided a nice bump to their 4-2 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pompano Beach will square off against Everglades at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Piper, they won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Coral Springs at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.
