With a playoff win on the line, King rose to the challenge on Friday. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past Royal 2-1. Winning may never get old, but King's sure is getting used to it with their third in a row.

King's pushed their record up to 12-5-1 with the win, which was their eighth straight at home. The home victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 43 goals over those eight games. As for Royal, with the loss, they broke their four-game winning streak and moved their record to 13-6.

Looking ahead, King's will challenge Columbia at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday. Columbia's defense has only allowed 0.5 goals per game this season, so King's offense will have their work cut out for them. Royal does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
