Baseball Recap: Hamtramck Snaps Three-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Hamtramck's game on Thursday was a loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Friday. They came out on top against Trillium Academy by a score of 6-3. The Cosmos have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw Trillium Academy, too.

Dorian Haslam was a major factor no matter where he played. On the mound, he pitched two innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off two hits. He has become a key player for Hamtramck: the team is 2-1 when he allows at most one earned run, but 2-4-1 otherwise. Haslam was also solid in the batter's box, going a perfect 1-for-1 with two runs and one stolen base.

Haslam wasn't the only one making solid contact as two players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Gabriel Mills, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

Hamtramck's victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 4-5-1. As for Trillium Academy, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-5.

Looking ahead, Hamtramck will take on Ecorse at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Trillium Academy, they will head out to square off against Canton Preparatory at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
