Basketball Recap: New Hampstead Comes Up Short

New Hampstead was the 56-32 winner over Bradwell Institute when they last played one another back in November of 2015, but their luck changed this time around. The New Hampstead Phoenix took an 86-70 bruising from the Bradwell Institute Tigers on Monday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game last Saturday (62), the Phoenix still had to take the loss.

Bradwell Institute's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Zi`On Thomas, who went 6 of 9 from beyond the arc en route to 24 points and three blocks. Another player making a difference was Jordan Stevens, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 13 rebounds.

New Hampstead is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-7. As for Bradwell Institute, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-3.

New Hampstead will be playing in front of their home fans against Perry at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. New Hampstead is facing Perry at the right time seeing as Perry is stuck on a three-game losing streak. As for Bradwell Institute, they will venture away from home to face off against Beach at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Beach will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Bradwell Institute surely won't give up without a fight.
