Football Game Preview: Lunenburg vs. Murdock

Lunenburg will be playing at home against Murdock at at 2:00 PM on Saturday. Lunenburg have the odds in their favor, so they'll need to guard against complacency.

After having lost a blowout in their game two weeks ago against West Boylston/Tahanto, Lunenburg were happy to find some success last Friday. Lunenburg snuck past Ayer Shirley/Bromfield with a 17-13 victory.

Meanwhile, we expected Murdock to have trouble with the significantly higher-ranked Maynard last Friday, and they did. Murdock found themselves the reluctant recipients of an unpleasant 25-56 punch to the gut against Maynard. Murdock were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 7-48.

Lunenburg's win lifted them to 5-1 while Murdock's defeat dropped them down to 4-4. We'll see if Lunenburg's success rolls on or if Murdock are able to steal their positive momentum.
