Basketball Recap: Mt. Rainier Takes a Loss

Mt. Rainier was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They took a blow against the Auburn Trojans, falling 69-23. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Rams this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 64-26 back in December of 2024.

Mt. Rainier's loss dropped their record down to 2-11. As for Auburn, the victory was the third in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-4.

Mt. Rainier will face off against Tahoma at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Tahoma will roll in looking for their seventh straight win, something Mt. Rainier surely won't give up without a fight. As for Auburn, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next matchup, a 49-44 defeat against Woodinville on the 20th.
