Basketball Recap: Peekskill Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Nai?Lah Smalls and Amari Murphy

Peekskill lost against Nanuet back in December of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Peekskill Red Devils took a 32-22 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Nanuet Golden Knights. The Red Devils have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amari Murphy and Nai?Lah Smalls certainly did their best on Wednesday to avoid the loss. Murphy posted 12 points, while Smalls scored four points and six rebounds. What's more, Murphy also racked up two blocks, the most she's had since back in December of 2023.

Peekskill now has a losing record at 1-2. As for Nanuet, the win got them back to even at 1-1.

Peekskill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-41 defeat against Yonkers on the 12th. As for Nanuet, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Sleepy Hollow at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday.
