Softball Game Preview: Trinity Wolves vs. Hoopa Valley Warriors

Trinity hasn't had much luck against Hoopa Valley recently, but that could start to change on Saturday. Trinity will take on Hoopa Valley in a tournament on Saturday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Trinity has three straight wins, Hoopa Valley has seven straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the field.

Trinity saw some tournament action on Friday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over CORE Butte.

Trinity let Mckenna Bennett and Raegan Millette run wild. Bennett went a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run, three runs, and two RBI, while Millette went a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three hits gave Bennett a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of JesseAnn Bickle, who scored two runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2.

Trinity was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .560. They are a perfect 4-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.

Meanwhile, Hoopa Valley lost 8-1 to Biggs on Friday.

Trinity's win bumped their record up to 8-5. As for Hoopa Valley, their defeat dropped their record down to 0-6.

Trinity might still be hurting after the 15-7 loss they got from Hoopa Valley when the teams last played back in April of 2024. Can Trinity avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
