Softball Recap: Edgewood-Colesburg Now 11-2 over Last 13 Games

Edgewood-Colesburg barely beat North Linn the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Vikings put the hurt on the Lynx with a sharp 11-3 victory on Thursday. Considering the Vikings have won six matches by more than seven runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Edgewood-Colesburg has been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 13 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-3 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.0 runs over those games. As for North Linn, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 11-5.

Edgewood-Colesburg wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 11-2 loss against Wapsie Valley on the 13th. As for North Linn, they have also already played their next matchup, a 6-0 defeat against Benton on the 13th.
