Softball Recap: Ysleta Comes Up Short

Ysleta came into their game on Tuesday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 17-1 to the Organ Mountain Knights. If the Indians were looking for revenge after losing 7-4 to the Knights when the teams met back in March of 2025, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Ysleta saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Savannah Jurado, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run.

Ysleta has also been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 8-13 record this season. As for Organ Mountain, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 9-0.

Looking ahead, Ysleta will challenge Austin at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 15.21 runs per game on average), something the Indians will no doubt try to take advantage of. As for Organ Mountain, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Deming at 5:00 p.m. on the 27th.
