Hamilton Southeastern extended their losing streak  to three  on Friday, dropping their season record down to 10-17 in the process. They lost  12-4 to the Westfield Shamrocks. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest  defeat the Royals have suffered  since April 26, 2024.

Hamilton Southeastern got a good showing from  Tyler Sarver, who   tossed two innings while giving up just one earned run off   three  hits. The Royals are 3-1 when  Sarver allows one or  fewer  earned runs, but 7-16 otherwise.
 On the hitting side,  Trey McManama was cooking despite his team's loss,   going 2-for-3 with two  RBI, one  run,  and one  double. Another player making a difference was  Cy Cole, who  went a perfect 2-for-2 with one  run and one  RBI.
As for Westfield, the  victory was  the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record up to 16-8. Those  wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 8.5 runs over those games.
On Westfield's side,  Owen Swinford looked comfortable as he  struck out six batters over  three innings while giving up   no  earned runs or  hits. Swinford has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  a single  hit in four consecutive appearances.
 At the plate, Westfield let  Ethan Colling and  Beck Jordan run wild. Colling  went 4-for-5 with one  home run and three  RBI, while  Jordan  went 3-for-5 with six  RBI and one  double. That's the most  hits  Jordan has posted since back in April.  Jake Russell was another key player,  going 2-for-5 with one  stolen base, two  RBI,  and one  run.
 Coming up, Hamilton Southeastern will be playing in front of their home fans against Center Grove  at 6:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Westfield, they will take on Carroll at 6:30  p.m.  on Monday.
