DeKalb is 8-2 against Naperville North since February of 2020 and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The DeKalb Barbs will challenge the Naperville North Huskies at 7:30 p.m. DeKalb is coming into the matchup hot, having won their last five games.

On Monday, DeKalb was able to grind out a solid win over Batavia, taking the game 51-43. Given the Barbs' advantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 77th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 266th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Naperville North came up short against Huntley on Monday and fell 55-47. The Huskies have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

DeKalb is on a roll lately: they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-5 record this season. The wins came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 60.4 points per game. As for Naperville North, their defeat dropped their record down to 12-9.

DeKalb took their victory against Naperville North in their previous matchup back in December of 2024 by a conclusive 65-41. The rematch might be a little tougher for DeKalb since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
