Baseball Recap: Archbishop Stepinac Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

Archbishop Stepinac had lost six games on the road dating back to last season, but after bumping their record up to 7-6 on Wednesday that streak is in the rearview. They walked away with a 5-2 victory over the Kennedy Catholic Gaels. The Crusaders have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Gaels, too.

As for Kennedy Catholic, they now have a losing record of 5-6. Having soared to a lofty 11 runs in the game before, they couldn't push the score so high this time.

For Kennedy Catholic's part, they saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Ryan D'Ambrosio, who went 1-for-3 with one run. Max Selinger also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Archbishop Stepinac will venture away from home to face off against St. Peter's at 11:00 a.m. on Friday. As for Kennedy Catholic, they will take on St. Raymond Boys at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
