Baseball Game Preview: Taft Greyhounds vs. Orange Grove Bulldogs

The Taft Greyhounds will challenge the Orange Grove Bulldogs on Thursday. Given that the two teams suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this match.

On Saturday, Taft came up short against Cuero and fell 7-3.

Hunter Montemayor was cooking despite his team's loss, going 3-for-4 with two RBI. Victor Alaniz also deserves some recognition as he snagged his first stolen base of the season.

Meanwhile, after soaring to 15 runs the game before, Orange Grove was a bit more limited in their game on Saturday. They fell 6-2 to Hondo.

Orange Grove saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Zach Wright, who went 2-for-3 with one run.

Taft's defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 12-12-1. As for Orange Grove, their loss ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 14-9-1.
