Recap: Millard Eagles vs. Enterprise Wolves
After flying high against the Water Canyon Wildcats last Tuesday, the Millard Eagles came back down to earth. Millard suffered a rough 59-39 defeat at the hands of Enterprise on Thursday. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss Millard has suffered since December 1, 2023.
Despite the loss, Millard saw an underclassman step up: Emily Stephenson scored 15 points along with eight rebounds and two steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Stephenson has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Eliza Larsen, who scored six points.
Enterprise was led to victory by Jaycee Barlow and Eliza Balajadia. Barlow dropped a double-double on 14 points and 15 rebounds, while Balajadia scored 14 points along with seven assists and two steals. Balajadia continues to roll, besting her previous point total in each of the last three games she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kylah Humphries, who scored six points along with three steals.
Millard's defeat dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Enterprise, their victory bumped their record up to 7-9.
Millard will be playing in front of their home fans against Kanab at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Kanab is looking to tack on another W to their four-game streak on the road. As for Enterprise, they will face off against Beaver at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Beaver will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak.
