Basketball Recap: Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' Luck Takes a Turn for the Worse on Tuesday

If Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts was feeling good fresh off their 77-34 takedown of Lookout Valley on Monday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts Eagles came up short against the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels on Tuesday, falling 55-29. The Eagles' defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.

Several Eagles players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Tyler Heisig, who posted ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Landon Alexander, who put up seven points.

It was another big night for Joel Bulis, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and 15 rebounds for Chattanooga Prep. Bulis is also on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Jaydan Parker, who scored four points along with six boards and four steals.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts' loss was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 9-12. As for Chattanooga Prep, they have been performing well recently as they've won 11 of their last 14 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 17-7 record this season.

Chattanooga School for the Liberal Arts will host Chattanooga School for the Arts & Sciences at 8:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Chattanooga Prep, they will challenge Copper Basin at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Chattanooga Prep is facing Copper Basin at the right time seeing as Copper Basin is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
