Soccer Game Preview: Atlanta International vs. Tucker

The Atlanta International Eagles will take on the Tucker Tigers at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Atlanta International took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Thursday. Their defense stepped up to hand Walker a 4-0 shutout. Considering the Eagles have won three contests by more than three goals this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Meanwhile, Tucker waltzed into their game on Friday with two straight wins... but they left with three. They came within a single goal of losing the streak, but they secured a 2-1 W against the Phoenix.

Talian Jacobs and Katerina Teklezghi scored both of Tucker's goals, bringing their combined season tally to ten goals.

Tucker's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 4-4. The wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 22 goals over those three matches. As for Atlanta International, their win ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 3-5.

Atlanta International came up short against Tucker when the teams last played back in March of 2024, falling 2-0. Can Atlanta International avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
